GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT

Date : Nov 17, 2026
Passage : Matthew 25:14~30
Keyverse : 21

Jesus told another parable to illustrate the attitude that servants of the Lord should have as they wait for the last day.

A master entrusted his servants with different amounts according to their abilities before going on a journey. The faithful servants worked the resources until the master returned, producing profit. Upon the master’s return, they were commended and invited to share in his joy (21,23). The one who hid his talent and produced nothing made the excuse that he feared failure (25). But the master rebuked him for his laziness. It is not how much we have received compared to others, but our faithfulness—rooted in our trust in the promise of the Lord’s return—that Jesus seeks in us.

What is the talent you have received from the Lord? Would you practice putting the talent to work to bring profit for the Lord today?
Application: Father, thank you for giving me the opportunities and responsibilities to serve you. Please help me to faithfully use the talent you’ve given me to serve you and bear fruit for your glory.
One Word: Be faithful!
