REMEMBER WHO GOD IS

Date : Nov 09, 2026
Passage : Psalm 77:1~20
Keyverse : 11

The psalmist cries out to God and struggles in prayer throughout the night. He refuses to be comforted without an answer from God. In times of suffering, we need to come before God with honesty and vulnerability (Hab 1, Job 30). God already knows what is in our hearts, and he desires us to bring our struggles before him through sincere prayer.

Then the psalmist is reminded of what God has done (3). First, he remembers that God is loving, compassionate, and faithful (7-9). God redeemed Israel by bringing them out of Egypt and into the promised land because he heard their cries for deliverance. Second, he remembers that God is mighty and powerful (16-19). He parted the Red Sea for his people, and even the waters and the earth obeyed his command.

Jesus’ love, faithfulness, and power never fail. He has redeemed us from sin and death and brought us into eternal life. He is the mighty God who conquered death and remains the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb 13:8). He is our Good Shepherd who saves us and leads us even today (20). In times of distress, will you remember your faithful Savior (11)? Will you trust and find your rest in God rather than in your circumstances?
Application: Lord, we praise you and we trust you.
One Word: Remember the Lord, our faithful and powerful Redeemer
