Paul concluded his letter with an exhortation to the church in Corinth to stand firm in the faith, to be courageous and strong. He only asked that they do everything in love. They had excellent examples among them, including the household of Stephanas, who were devoted to serving God’s people. Paul urged the Corinthian believers to join in this work of love. Those who practice love become a source of blessing for all God’s people. They deserve to be recognized for their exemplary labor in love.

Aquila and Priscilla had helped Paul pioneer the church in Corinth. Now they had gone as missionaries to Ephesus, where they were living and working. Paul’s final words remind us that love is the unifying bond between Christians. If we love Jesus and love each other, the problems disappear and God is revealed.
Application: Lord, help me to practice love in all things. Make me a source of blessing in God’s ministry.
