SACRED GARMENTS FOR AARON

Date : Jun 11, 2026
Passage : Exodus 28:1~30
Keyverse : 2

The Lord wants his people to worship him. He appointed Aaron and his sons to be priests in service to God. He commanded Moses to make sacred garments to provide dignity and honor. It is truly an honor to serve the Lord and bring others to worship him.

The first garment described was the ephod. This garment contained the engraved names of the sons of Israel on precious stones. Aaron was to bear these names on his shoulders as a memorial to the Lord. His priestly duty made Aaron a prayer servant for all the tribes of Israel, for they were precious to the Lord.

The next garment was the breastpiece for making decisions. This also contained the names of the sons of Israel. Aaron not only bore the tribes of Israel on his shoulders, but also on his heart. He was to serve God’s justice and love for Israel.
Application: Lord, thank you for equipping your people to worship and serve the Lord. Bless me to bring many to worship God.
One Word: Serve God as a priest
