THE HEAVENS DECLARE GOD’S GLORY

Date : Apr 10, 2026
Passage : Psalm 19:1~14
Keyverse : 1

The heavens declare God’s glory (v.1). Although silent, nature reflects God’s characteristics – he is the God of beauty, order, wisdom, and glory. According to his glorious plan, he created the sun in the sky (v.5) and brings out the stars one by one (Isaiah 20:26).

The same God created beauty and order in our lives through his words. He is a holy God who set unchanging standards of righteousness. They are beyond human wisdom; they are much more precious than gold (v.10).

At the same time, his commands and statues enlighten our eyes to our sinfulness (v.12). The psalmist, desiring to be pleasing in God’s sight, asks for forgiveness of his sins (v. 12-13). Our Redeemer bought us with his blood and made us holy and righteous by his grace. This truth gives us joy (v.8)
Application: Father, thank you for displaying your glory and wisdom in nature and in your redeeming work.
One Word: Praise God for his wondrous works
