SACRIFICE THANK OFFERINGS

Date : Nov 27, 2025
Passage : Psalms 50:1~23
Keyverse : 14-15

Our God is the LORD, the Mighty One, who rules over all creation. God is not silent (3b). God summons all the earth from where the sun rises to where it sets. God summons the heavens above (4) which proclaim his righteousness (6). God also summons his people to judge them, for he is a God of justice. God sees and knows everything.

God called his people to judgment. He did not charge them for neglecting sacrifices. After all, every animal in the forest belongs to God. The cattle on a thousand hills are also God’s. He knows every bird and insect. If God needed sacrifices, God would not ask his people because the world belongs to him. What God truly desired from his people were thank offerings and faithfulness to him (14). God encouraged his people to call on him and experience his deliverance in times of trouble. To the wicked, God offered an opportunity to consider and repent their evil or else be torn to pieces (22).

When you bring an offering to God, is it an offering of thanks for what he has done? Do you long to “fulfill your vows” to the Most High, that is, to be faithful to him? Praise and thank God today. Give him a sacrifice of thanks and call on him. God longs for a relationship with us.
Application: Father, I sacrifice thank offerings to you for you deserve nothing less. Thank you for delivering me from sin and death and shepherding me.
One Word: Offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving
