HEED THE WORD OF GOD

Date : Nov 19, 2025
Passage : 2Chronicles 18:12~34
Keyverse : 13

Micaiah had a lot of pressure to say favorable things to Ahab. But Micaiah was very steadfast. He was willing to say only what God told him to say.

In any circumstance, speaking the truth of God requires courage. God gives courage and strength to speak his words and his truth. We only must obey. Micaiah told what went on in heaven with God and the heavenly multitudes. God allowed Ahab to die by letting him attack Ramoth Gilead. And one spirit said he will be a deceiving spirit in the prophets’ mouths. God approved it.

This was Ahab’s chance to repent. But Ahab’s heart was hardened. He did not listen to God’s word to the end. He imprisoned Micaiah and went to the battle of Ramoth Gilead.

Ahab disguised himself. Only Jehoshaphat wore kingly robes. Although Jehoshaphat foolishly followed Ahab in battle, God showed mercy on Jehoshaphat and saved him. Although Ahab disguised himself, a random arrow came and pierced Ahab. Nobody can escape God, no matter how much they try to escape. God sees it all and knows it all. May we come to God in humble repentance each day and heed his word.
Application: Father, you see everything. Help us to come to you in humble repentance and hear your word
One Word: Heed God’s word
