GOD OF MERCY

Date : Nov 07, 2025
Passage : Micah 7:1~20
Keyverse : 18

The conclusion to Micah is a fitting summary of the whole book. Sometimes it seems like the whole world is going to hell. Everyone is only trying to do what is best for themselves. The rich and powerful do as they wish and frustrate those who don’t support them. Even family members disappoint. Micah says, “But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior, my God will hear me” (7). And God does hear us when we pray.

When we humbly turn to God for forgiveness and call on God for mercy, he hears and extends grace and deliverance. God does not tolerate wickedness but delights in showing mercy (18). Like Micah, we must patiently wait for God’s deliverance with hope.

God’s love and mercy should never be taken for granted. As mercy is given, we must also show mercy by helping those in need. God’s desire for us is to live justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God all the days of our life.
Application: Lord, have mercy on me, my nation, and all those suffering in the world.
One Word: God has compassion
