PRAYERS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES

Date : Oct 02, 2025
Passage : 2Chronicles 6:22~42
Keyverse : 39

Solomon asked God to hear the prayers of people in various circumstances.

Neighbors may turn into enemies by breaking their oaths (22, 23). Their nation may be defeated (24). Natural disasters such as drought, famine, or plagues may occur in their land (26-28). Some people may not belong to Israel but come to Him, seeking the true God (32). The people of Israel may pray as they would go to war against their enemies (34). They may be sent into exile because they have disobeyed God and angered him (36). Solomon understood that in any of those circumstances, if they turn toward God, repent of their sins, and pray, God would be attentive to their prayers. He would hear, forgive, and restore them (39).

Those who live in God's presence and pray in all circumstances are blessed to experience his love, power, and mercy. And even if we stumble and fall, even as we turn to him in our brokenness, we can have confidence in his great mercy to listen to our plea and restore us as his children. Are you in a circumstance where you do not see any resolution? Trust in the LORD, who is waiting to hear and embrace you with his mighty hands.
Application: Father, thank you for hearing my prayer this morning. Forgive my sins and help me to live in your presence.
One Word: Pray in all circumstances
