SING TO GOD; PROCLAIM HIS SALVATION

Date : Jul 30, 2025
Passage : 1Chronicles 16:12~43
Keyverse : 23

In verses 12-36, David talked about the reasons why God’s people were to remember God and praise him. First, God took them in as his chosen people, and he became their LORD God. Second, God keeps his covenant: he first made it with Abraham, confirmed it to Jacob, and kept it throughout the generations. Even when the Israelites forgot the covenant, God remembered it and fulfilled it. Third, God protected them from oppressors and powerful kings. Fourth, God gave all the earth salvation. It is through faith in Christ Jesus whom God has provided as the payment for sin. God’s people are to proclaim this salvation. Thus, all the earth should sing to him and ascribe to him glory. The LORD still reigns! We are to give thanks to him for he is good.

After giving thanks to God, David appointed priests, musicians, and gatekeepers to minister before the ark each day. David had a heart set on honoring and worshiping God every day. Worship is not a ritualistic event, but it is an ongoing lifestyle of devotion. It encourages us to live a God-centered life.
Application: Lord, thank you for your grace of salvation. Help us to give thanks to you and proclaim your salvation today.
One Word: The LORD reigns and saves!
